Redridge 2018

25th April 2018 - Latest News

Day 3 at Redridge was spent in Welshpool where a fun-packed day was had by all. Students took part in caving, rock-climbing and abseiling. Mr Field even did the abseiling and he is scared of heights!

The students split into two groups for the caving and put their indoor-caving skills to good use.
They arrived back at camp in time for a dinner of fish and chips and then spent a relaxing evening watching a film .
Students went to bed early to prepare themselves for today’s canoeing activities.
Staff have reported on how brilliant the students have been and how they have really challenged themselves to complete the activities even when they have been very nervous beforehand. They are making us very proud.
Day 2

The latest news from the staff and students at Redridge is that they are having a fantastic time! All of our students have been sleeping very well and getting up early for breakfast. One student was up and ready at 6am ready for breakfast at 8,15am! Yesterday, students took part in climbing, zipwire and got very wet whilst kayaking! Some of them took to it like ducks to water!

In the evening, students have been socialising, playing ping pong and indoor rock climbing (due to the very soggy weather!) After a long, busy day students showered, drank hot chocolate and went off to bed quite willingly to catch up and get ready for their next adventure.

There will be a further update tomorrow.
